At the Air Cargo Forum in Miami, Nallian-powered digitalization projects claimed the stage. In 3 panel discussions, customers and Nallian colleagues shared their vision and experience with collaborative, digital solutions to streamline freight management and gain more data and insights.
Changi Airport Community’s Digital Leap
In the panel ‘From Vision to Impact: Changi Airport's Journey in Implementing its Innovative Air Cargo Community System', Jaisey Jip from Changi Airport Group, Boon Kiam Kuah from SATS, Benjamin Ong from Alliance21, Soufiane Daher from McKinsey Company, and our CEO Jean Verheyen shared their experience with implementing slot booking at one of the world’s busiest airports.
Their statements underlined the value of eliminating wait times and getting visibility to plan staff efficiently, the importance of training and change management to ensure adoption, and the value of a unified process to drive efficiency, reduce congestion, and increase predictability of freight pick-up and delivery. The community, including SATS and dnata, and 335 forwarders, is already using Truck Dock Slot Booking for export and will include import in the first half of 2025.

It was great to hear Emir Pineda comment that Miami International Airport is also set to drive efficiency through digitalization, as ‘Change has to happen now; it is crucial to surviving.’
The Human Side of Technology
In another engaging panel on technology and people, our CCO Lionel van der Walt, together with Diogo Elias from Avianca, Mammen Tharakan from KSIA, and Gregory Maloney from Florida International University, emphasized that technology adoption is not just about systems but also about people and change management. Technology upscales jobs, but people should be involved early on when adopting technology to drive its adoption.
